Wee Peawee

The wee peawee is as small as a bee
And when she takes to the air
She spends all her hours among all the flowers,
But all of us should be aware
That the wee peawee might be too small to see
So we all should take special care
Not to tread on a flower in a green wooded bower –
A wee peawee may be there.

When she takes to the wing it is then she will sing,
It’s a wonderful sound we can share.
And as she is singing, the peawee is bringing
The dust that produces our fare.
It’s the pollen that clings to her feathers and brings
The food that we eat after prayer.
